Taking a deeper look at your strategy always involves a deeper self-assessment to start.
Here are 3 resources we use and recommend to assess yourself and your team:
DISC Profile
The DISC profile is a simple and easy to digest system for designating personality types and communication styles.
We highly recommend the free Tony Robbins DISC profile - in part, because it will show you how to best work with the other personality types in your business.
Myers-Briggs
The Myers Briggs is based on the conceptual theory proposed by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, who had speculated that people experience the world using four principal psychological functions – sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking – and that one of these four functions is dominant for a person most of the time. The four categories are Introversion/Extraversion, Sensing/Intuition, Thinking/Feeling, Judging/Perception. Each person is said to have one preferred quality from each category, producing 16 unique types.
We recommend the 16Personalities.com site for a great, free version of a Myers-Briggs style assessment for you and your team.
StrengthsFinder is a great system to help identify your strengths and make recommendations for working in your areas of strengths. Classic American education has taught us to work on what we're not good at, but we're deep believers in working to your strengths and developing systems or hiring for your areas of weakness.
